God Moments by John & Cindy Mortimer: We have always helped other Ministries when needed. One time we were back in the Jungle helping another ministry and the cook came to me and said there wasn’t enough food for the five day event. I told him “Pray and Serve” As the days went by I kept checking and he said they were doing Ok. (Keep in mind he’s the main cook feeding 1,700 indians 3 meals a day) Back in the Jungle you have to haul needed food for your Ministry Events, etc. all by boat. You have to plan everything because once you are back in the Jungle there is no running to the store to get more. The last meal he went to the Leader and said “There isn’t enough food. Only one Sack of Rice and 30 bags of noodles to fee 1,700 people. George told him the same thing I told him “Pray and Serve” He went back to the jungle hut that they were using for the kitchen and started washing the rice to put into the huge pans they were using. Before their eyes when they poured the washed rice into the cooking pans God 3 times the amount of rice. When they cooked the noodles for sauce to pour over the rice they figured they would serve it until it was gone. When serving it it never went empty. They fed 1,700 people and still had left overs. They called for the people that lived farthest away to come get some food for their trip home. There was still food left over. They called everyone to come back and get more food. They all got fed twice and when the last one was served that is when the food was done. That day God fed. 3,400 plates of food with only 1 sack of Rice and 30 bags of noodles. There is nothing God can’t do!!!
